Flagler Arts Space will open its ‘Priceless’ exhibit from 5 – 10 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 28, at 172 W. Flagler St., across from the Miami Art Museum.
The gallery and studios were recently opened by a cooperative of eight local artists working to build welcoming and interactive exhibits in downtown Miami. This show will feature a profusion of small $20 artworks dynamically displayed to cover every gallery wall. A smaller selection of works will be sold by silent auction to raise money for future exhibits. The show will remain open by appointment through Feb. 4.
The artists — Annie Blazejack, David Olivera, Juan Travieso, Leonardo Castañeda, Nicole Mucher, Nicole Serize, Noah Garcia, Ray Lopez and Reinier Gamboa — began their artmaking at Miami magnet arts high schools, and have recently returned from continuing their studies at some of the nation’s top art schools. Gallery and studio space has been donated by The Thomas Center, a real estate company commited to enlivening downtown Miami.
